Afschaffing ambtsgebed?
Steeds meer politieke partijen willen de samenleving verder seculariseren. Wat een moed!
En wat een onheil zal er uit voortvloeien als deze landelijke trend tot afschaffing van o.a. het ambtsgebed verder doorzet.
Men kiest graag voor “neutraal”. Alle respect voor iemands “neutrale” opvatting.
Maar de Enige echte “neutrale” is de HEER Zelf die zonder aanzien van persoon ieder mens zal beoordelen. Hij komt op voor ieder die Hem aanroept in een oprecht hart, ja, zijn ogen doorzoeken de hele aarde om krachtig bij te staan wiens hart volkomen naar Hem uitgaat.
De mens is immers niet slechts een fysiek wezen, maar als enige aardse schepsel in het Beeld Gods, toegerust met een uit God gegeven geest, als het allerinnerlijkste in zijn hart.
Aan de geest ontleent de mens zijn leven, vandaar uit werkt zijn liefde, van daar komt zijn moed, wijsheid en waarheidsbesef, van daaruit ontvangt hij blijvende waarden, daarin zetelt zijn geweten. Van daar uit is hij een zorgzame vader en zij een liefdevolle moeder. Van daar komt Godsbesef in de mens. En daar ontvangt hij van God, Die Geest is, talenten, kunstzinnigheid, helderheid van denken, inspiratie.
Maar de dwaas zegt in zijn hart: Er is geen God.
Hij beseft niet dat elke hartenklop, elke ademtocht hem door God gegeven is, dat de hele schepping dagelijks door Hem onderhouden wordt, elk biochemisch proces in zijn lijf door God bepaald is, dat er zelfs niets, waar dan ook, bestaat dat niet in zijn oorsprong vanuit God is ontstaan, ook alle maaksels van mensen, al denkt de mens in zijn trots dat het zijn eigen werken en prestaties zijn. Zelfs kan geen enkel elementair deeltje ontstaan buiten de wil van God om en kan het ene atoom zich niet buiten de wil van God om aan een ander hechten! En, realiseert u zich wel met welke snelheid deze Aarde met haar Zon door de ruimte raast, terwijl u daar (ook) niets van merkt? Is het daarom niet zo? Dat is pas een Draaimolen! Godgestuurd. Hij immers vult de Oneindigheid en heerst over alles wat daarin vanuit Hem aanwezig is. Niets uitgezonderd.
Alles omsloten door Zijn Liefde.
Het is historisch gezien een normale gang van zaken dat na een periode van geestelijke of godsdienstige opleving weer verval intreedt, omdat mensen het veronderstelde juk weer willen afwerpen en zelf wel zullen uitmaken wat ze goed achten en dat dan door meerderheid van stemmen bekrachtigen als wet. De Bijbel – als bron van archetypen – toont daar, van begin tot eind, talloze voorbeelden van. Vooral wordt die trend gevonden in het boek Richteren. Die trend vinden we ook in Nederland na de Tweede Wereldoorlog.
De wereld draait door, heet dat en raakt steeds meer doorgedraaid. Psalm 2 beschrijft deze situatie heel treffend: “Waarom woelen de volken en zinnen de natiën op ijdelheid?
De koningen der aarde scharen zich in slagorde en de machthebbers spannen samen tegen de HERE en zijn gezalfde: Laat ons hun banden verscheuren en hun touwen van ons werpen!”
Zij die het Getuigenis van God in hun hart dragen weten te bidden dat God hun, wier ogen nog bedekt zijn, de ogen zal openen, die alleen door Zijn Geest geopend kunnen worden zoals bij henzelf. Hij heeft immers Zijn Koning en Priester gesteld in Sion!
